Life coaching is a relatively new profession. There is importance in discussing a definition of the new relationship that will evolve between you and your coach. Life coaching is a process designed to support a client in improving, developing, learning new skills, finding personal and professional success, achieving aims and managing life transitions and challenges. It is a method that draws out clarity, direction, focus, decisiveness, follow through and creating healthy relationships, balance, communication skills, increased energy and joy. It can be so many things! Coaching is an avenue to living in alignment with your Self.
Living in the flow of alignment between all levels of YOU (spiritual, emotional, mental and physical) is a way of being that is empowering. Connecting your head with your heart leads to transformation of manifesting dreams into reality and action. Many people have no idea what they are capable of. Many only imagine how it "could be, if".
Being aware of limiting beliefs and challenges that hold you back allows you to expel these thoughts and reframe them to those which are positive and uplifting. This self-discovery lends to enhancement and movement towards your goals. It attracts endless possibilities...the life you imagine.
Coaching draws out rather than puts in, develops rather than imposes, reflects rather than directs. A coach will not do it for you or create greatness in you. Rather, he or she recognizes the greatness, creativity, and dynamic qualities that reside inside each person at their core. Clients are provided with tools and techniques to elicit positive changes and motivation throughout their lifetime.
Every person is unique and different. Their wants and needs, goals and aspirations, learning curves, and life circumstances are never exactly the same as another. It is therefore the belief of Flow Life Coaching that the process cannot be molded into a cookie cutter pattern that will work for all of mankind. Each person's process will be as individualized as the people who walk through the door. The key is finding a coach the client will align with.
Typically, a coaching relationship begins with a consultation session where the client can interview a coach and vice versa. This allows both parties to determine if it is a good "fit". Should a relationship be established at this point there is a determination of how the process might look. How long and often you meet with your coach will depend on your goals, expectations and intentions. Some may want to move slowly towards the development of the purpose of why the client is there. Others would like to go full tilt and immerse themselves in the program they create. After the first or second session there will be more clarity regarding the type of contract they will enter.
Whether you are entering into a 1 month or longer coaching contract...it is pure perfection for your specific situation. Honoring yourself with this type of association is the best gift you can give yourself. You are gifting yourself your dreams.
